If you know a friend, family member, co-worker or school companion who has gone above and beyond to make the Mornington Peninsula a better place – nominate them for a 2021 Australia Day Award!
The Awards recognise those who have made a noteworthy contribution to the Mornington Peninsula.
Outstanding contribution and community service include areas such as:
- charitable and voluntary services
- the environment
- any area contributing to the advancement and wellbeing of the Mornington Peninsula.
Award nominations are now open across three categories including Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen and Community Event of the Year.
You can also nominate a great Mornington Peninsula community event held in person or virtually that you have attended or helped to organise for Community Event of the Year.
Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Councillor Sam Hearn said: “I encourage everyone to take the time to nominate someone who makes a real difference in your community and give them the opportunity to be rewarded and recognised for their important contribution”.
Any individual or organisation can make a nomination, and all eligible nominees are acknowledged.
