It’s happening! The Shire is building new toilets adjoining the Red Hill Mechanics Hall.
A new toilet facility was proposed at the Red Hill Mechanics Hall when the existing facilities were condemned.
Timber decking will be built leading out from the existing hall to three male, three female and one all-access toilet, as well as a cleaner’s room.
The new toilets have been designed to fit with the aesthetics of the existing community hall and will improve the overall appearance of the building.
Accessibility to the building will be improved, including a new accessible parking space and concrete pathway.
A new water tank will also be installed in a new location replacing the current water tank.
The works will start next week and continue through to February 2022, weather and COVIDSafe guidelines permitting.

Quotes attributable to Red Hill Ward Councillor David Gill:
“We are excited to provide these much needed new facilities to a well-used community hall. It will mean the hall will better accommodate the needs of community groups, event organisers and residents.”
“The new facilities will look great! It will be very exciting for the community to use the improved facilities when we open up again and can attend events and activities at the Red Hill Mechanics Hall.”
"Thank you to our local community - your input has helped make this a practical and useful facility for a long time to come."
