Mornington Peninsula ratepayers will soon receive their Mornington Peninsula Shire rate notices in the mail. If you haven’t received your rates notice by 30 August, please contact Council. An explanatory rates and valuation brochure will also be included.

Each rate notice will also display three vouchers for Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Resource Recovery Centres.

The rates notice sets out the due dates for payments by instalments; which for the 2019/2020 rating year are:

  • 30 September 2019
  • 2 December 2019
  • 28 February 2020 and
  • 1 June 2020

If you are not paying in instalments, rates for the 2019/2020 year are due in full on Monday 17 February 2020.

Council works under a rate capping environment. The rate cap applies to the average annual increase of rates.

Your rates contribute to our capital works program and assist in delivering more than 100 services to the Mornington Peninsula community.
