Let’s chat: Hastings Sound Shell

Published on 05 February 2019

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have a conversation on a proposed sound shell on the Hastings Foreshore.

Community consultation is currently open and closes 5pm Friday 22 February.

As part of Council’s commitment to develop facilities in conjunction with community members, the proposed Sound Shell would be a permanent and functional stage to cater for the many events held on the Hastings Foreshore.

Cerberus Ward Councillor Kate Roper said the project, driven by the needs and opportunities of several local community groups and key stakeholders, would bring many benefits to the Hastings community to enjoy concerts, community events, theatre and entertainment

“Council is excited to be working closely with the community on this collaborative project that will be an excellent asset for the Hastings community providing access to a range of recreation activities in their own backyard”.

This is the first round of community consultation. Community members will have additional opportunities to provide their feedback as the project progresses.
