Key service performance, sustainability and financial indicators for Mornington Peninsula Shire Council in 2017/18 are now available on the Victorian Government’s Know Your Council website:

You can compare results across a range of indicators which all Victorian councils are required to report on, such as many of the 100 council services used by our community, like: libraries, waste collection, aquatic facilities, maternal and child health and animal management.

The Shire has performed well above the average in a number of areas, including: animals reclaimed, active library members, health inspections at aquatic facilities, rates compared to property values and more.

The Shire also improved in several areas since 2016-17, such as community consultation and engagement and road resealing costs.

Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Councillor David Gill said we are committed to being open and transparent and to delivering the best value services for our community.

“Overall, this is a positive set of results with a few areas that also need improvement”.

“Each community is unique and has different needs. The Know Your Council website is one way for our community to monitor the Shire’s performance across time and in relation to other councils, to the extent comparisons can be made.

“We are always striving to deliver great customer service that meets the needs and expectations of our local community.”
