Make your own sourdough workshop

Saturday 25 June, 10am – 2pm

Baking your own bread is delicious, nutritious and a great way to reduce single-use plastic.
 
Experience every step in the process during this relaxed and enjoyable workshop, where sourdough expert Warwick will lead you through the process of creating your own sourdough bread. You will leave with dough to take home and bake later, as well as a sourdough starter. Participants can enjoy a light lunch following the workshop.

Not suitable for people with gluten intolerance. Please bring along a container to take the sourdough starter home in, and a large mixing bowl to make the dough.

Keeping backyard chooks workshop

Chooks not only make great pets. They're also great composters and happily give us delicious eggs as a reward!
 
Come along to this workshop and learn how to create a healthy, happy ‘chooktopia’ of your own. The workshop will cover chook health, nutrition, housing, protection from predators and pests, as well as the sustainability and circular economy benefits of keeping these delightful animals.

Looking for ideas to entertain the kids over the school holidays? In this hands-on workshop, they'll get to create their own puppets using simple materials (provided).

This introduction to natural bee keeping is for you! This workshop will help you understand:
