It’s time to step up and clean up!
Published on 09 February 2022
Clean Up Australia Day is creeping up on us and it’s time to start thinking about getting your crew together for Sunday 6 March.
Check out rubbish hotspots in your neighbourhood and challenge your friends and family to make 2022 the year to make an effort for the environment and our local wildlife. We’ve all seen the hundreds of discarded facemasks littering our streets, beaches, parks… Now is a great time to pop some gloves on and get out there and make a difference.
Join your local clean up group on Sunday 6 March and get to work! It’s rewarding to volunteer and you can stay for as long as your body will let you – every little bit helps. Find and join your nearest clean up at Clean Up Australia’s website, it’s free to participate.

Sometimes we come across a whole lot of dumped rubbish. Report it via the Snap Send Solve app or on our website at mornpen.vic.gov.au/dobinadumper
Quotes attributable to Mayor Councillor Anthony Marsh:
“Clean Up Australia Day is a yearly event focusing on littering and protecting our environment. We need as many people as possible to get out there on Clean Up Australia Day and give back to your community in a safe and meaningful way. Our Peninsula is pretty as a picture, let’s keep it that way!”
