International award for authentic Italian in Sorrento

Published on 15 March 2018

Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor and Nepean Ward Councillor Bryan Payne has congratulated Sorrento restaurant Sorrento Trattoria, that was recently awarded the Ospitalità Italiana.

Ospitalità Italiana is an international quality seal endorsed by the Italian Government aimed to guarantee the respect of the typical standard of Italian hospitality.

“Well done for achieving this international quality seal endorsed by the Italian Government. It’s exciting to see local businesses flourishing and receiving international recognition.

“The Shire is proud of the successes of our local businesses.”

Councillor Payne said the Shire supports local business with guidance, advice, and workshops through its Economic Development team.

The next session in the series of ‘Start Your Business’ workshops will be held on Tuesday 20 March and includes practical workshops to help new businesses start off on the right foot.  Each session is designed to help plan, prepare and test business ideas through a step-by-step method in a small group setting to equip participants with tools to make the most of business opportunities.
