In April this year, Mornington Peninsula Shire launched a free online service enabling individuals, businesses and community organisations to easily identify and access funding opportunities from local, state and federal governments as well as philanthropic grant programs.

The Funding Finder website includes a dedicated COVID-19 funding page, gathering the many COVID-19 funding opportunities into one place. This ‘one-stop shop’ approach will save precious time and effort spent on research.

Users who choose to register on the website can create favourites lists, receive direct email alerts from their chosen areas of interest and keep up to date with all potential funding opportunities and deadlines.

The website also offers advice and top tips for finding and applying for grants to maximise the chances of success and allows users searching for funding for projects to filter their search by a specific location, industry or type of project.

Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Councillor Sam Hearn said “now more than ever it’s important that individuals, businesses and organisations know what financial support is available to them and how to apply for it”.

“Funding Finder provided on the Mornington Peninsula Shire website is a great support tool for our community. It will go a long way to taking the time and stress out of searching for community and business funding.

“I encourage anyone in our community looking for financial support for a project or business to use this tool to help them in their search.”

This comprehensive, free funding finder service is ideal for all local businesses, not-for-profits, community groups, sporting organisations and individuals.
