In 2021/22, Mornington Peninsula Shire ran an outdoor dining program aiming to support businesses as they recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The purpose was to increase activity in our shopping and dining precincts, increase local economy and boost our recovery on the Peninsula.

The feedback from traders and the community was overall very positive, while some expressed concern about the impact of the program on their businesses.

This year, the Shire is refining the program to support all traders to succeed and create vibrant, inspiring activity centres for our community and visitors to enjoy.

We are talking to traders and would also like to understand community views as well. Please share your thoughts to help us make better decisions for our outdoor dining program.
