Have your say: Draft Amended Road Management Plan 2018

Residents are invited to have a say on Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Draft Amended Road Management Plan 2018.

In June, Council conducted a review of its Road Management Plan. Findings from the review have been incorporated in the Draft Amended Road Management Plan 2018.

The Road Management Plan looks at the service and management of shire roads and associated infrastructure assets. The plan provides a transparent and network-wide approach to managing our roads.

Community feedback will help the Shire determine what should be prioritised, and ensure the Shire’s approach to managing the peninsula’s road network is in line with community expectations.

Community consultation opens Friday 9 February 2018 and closes 5pm Friday 16 March 2018.

Any person who is aggrieved by the proposed amendment may make a submission to the Shire. A Committee meeting to hear submissions in accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 will be scheduled if one or more persons request to be heard in support of their submission.

All submissions must state clearly whether you (or a representative on your behalf) wish to be heard in support of your written submission.

Following the public exhibition period, and any subsequent hearings, Council will consider all feedback. Following this, a final updated Plan will be presented to Council for adoption.
