Mornington Peninsula Shire is seeking tender submissions from local tradespeople and building contractors offering building or specialist services for consideration as part of its newly developed Building Trades and Specialist Services Panels. These panels will be formed via a rigorous public tender process and will cover 11 major work categories.

Those tradespersons and building contractors selected to be on a panel will play a key role in delivering the Shire’s building renewal and upgrade program. This program will deliver approximately 200 projects annually, with projects spread across all Shire buildings with annual funding in the order of $3.0 - 4.0M.

Typical projects will include:

  • kitchen and bathroom refurbishments
  • electrical and lighting upgrades
  • HVAC installation and renewal
  • roof and spouting replacements
  • building structural repairs.

Shire Mayor Councillor David Gill said establishing the Building Trades and Specialist Services Panels “will ensure these works are delivered safely, to the highest quality and enhance the Shire’s efficiency in delivering building renewal projects”.

Submissions are now open and can be made online at

Submissions close 11am on Monday 17 December 2018.
