For the sixth summer in a row, Mornington Peninsula Shire, in conjunction with Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation and Victoria Police, will implement the ‘Holiday Time’ road safety campaign in several high-pedestrian activity areas.   Colourful road safety banners and signs will be placed at key tourist locations and main roads to appeal to drivers and pedestrians.   Signage specially designed to appeal to children with phrases such as ‘Slow Down, Kids Around’ and ‘Hold my Hand’ have been installed in Dromana, Rosebud and Rye to remind drivers and pedestrians about road safety during the holiday period.   School holidays create a surge in the population where thousands of children will be on our local roads.   Holiday Time signage is a timely reminder about the importance of road safety, for both residents and visitors alike, to be more aware of the increase in pedestrian activity and to stay vigilant on the roads.
