In celebration of the Somerville Recreation Centre rebuild, Mornington Peninsula Shire is encouraging local kids aged 5 to 12 years old to enter our Somerville Recreation Centre Colouring In Competition!

Your entry will put you in the running to win one of the following:

  • a Family VIP Season Pass for all Westernport Basketball Association’s Victorian Junior Basketball League home matches.
  • a Yonex Badminton Equipment Kit.
  • 16 weeks of Learn to Swim Lessons at Pelican Park Recreation Centre.

Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Cr Gill said “this is a great way to involve local school students in celebrating the Somerville Recreation Centre construction and is a great opportunity for the young sporting community to get enthusiastic about the state-of-the-art Basketball, Badminton and Netball facilities springing up in their own backyard”.

Watson Ward Councillor Julie Morris said “not only will kids have the chance to win amazing prizes, the winning entries will be placed on display at the Somerville Library and the Somerville Health & Fitness Studio, where it will be seen by the many locals and visitors”.

The judging panel will be made up of representatives from the Somerville Recreation Centre Project Advisory Group and Councillor Morris.

Entrants can grab a colouring sheet by visiting mornpen.vic.gov.au/somervillerec or dropping into one of our library branches or customer service centres in Somerville, Rosebud, Mornington and Hastings.
