The Shire is welcoming Expressions of Interests (EOI) from locals to volunteer their time at the Visitor Information Centre in Dromana, drop-in visitor information space at the southbound BP Baxter Service Station and at the Roaming Ambassador Program.
Visitors to our region need a variety of tools to explore the amazing things to do and places to see on the Mornington Peninsula.
Volunteers play a vital role in the Peninsula’s tourism services by providing information to around 25,000+ visitors each year.
Their passion and knowledge of the Peninsula, adds to visitors amazing experience to our beautiful region.
During your experience, you would be required to:
- Respond to enquiries in a timely, accurate and friendly manner
- Promote the region’s tourism products and experiences
- Assist with the collection and recording of visitor statistics
- Complete daily office administration as required.
With the current mid-week roster filled, we are looking for people to help with shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. These shifts are weekly with a duration of three hours (10am – 1pm or 1pm to 4pm).
