Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Heritage Grants are available to owners of heritage places to assist with carrying out heritage conservation projects.

The grants aim to help owners of heritage places in maintaining and preserving their property.

Properties covered by individual Heritage Overlays or places contributory to heritage precincts under the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme, are eligible for consideration for a grant.

Individual grants are usually up to a few thousand dollars, but exceptions to this may be made in special circumstances.

Council makes the grants on a contributory basis – no grant will exceed 50 per cent of the total value of any works.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications are now open and close 5pm Friday 26 March 2021.

Applicants will get a pre-approval notification shortly after the application is submitted.

Applicants need to be sure the works will be finished by 30 May 2021 so the grants can be paid by 30 June 2021 (allocated funds will not be carried through to the following financial year).
