A new pavilion as part of the Civic Reserve Master Plan
Published on 24 November 2021
We've been successful in receiving a $4 million grant from the State Government for a new athletics and soccer pavilion at Civic Reserve, Mornington.
The pavilion will provide much needed facilities for the local clubs at the reserve, such as Mount Martha Soccer Club, Mornington Athletics Club, Mornington Little Athletics Club and the wider community.
As part of the $4 million from the State Governments Sport and Recreation Victoria's Community Sports Infrastructure Stimulus Fund, we'll provide the remaining $2.5 million to complete the project.
The sporting pavilion has been designed to be fully accessible for the whole community and meet the high standards for soccer as set by Football Victoria.
The build will include four new change rooms, three umpire rooms, storage facilities, community space, a meeting room, first aid room, accessible public toilets and landscaping at the reserve to include an outdoor gym, shaded viewing area, and a nature playground.
Construction has begun and will be finished by December 2022.
