A meeting of minds: Meet the Mayor and CEO
Published on 15 April 2019
Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Councillor David Gill and Shire CEO John Baker are inviting residents to meet with them and discuss issues and ideas that affect their local community.
Shire Mayor and Red Hill Ward Councillor David Gill said anyone is welcome to apply to meet and talk to him and CEO John Baker, and they are both looking forward to having this time with members of the community.
“We’re excited to be spending time with residents and hearing from them about what’s happening in their local areas.
“I think we can work together to improve the areas we live in, and these meetings are one way to achieve that goal.”
Residents can apply to attend a 25-minute meeting and can request to bring guests to the meeting.
During the application process, supporting documents can be submitted for consideration before the meeting takes place.
“By holding these meetings each month, we hope to encourage residents to make the most of the opportunity and share ideas and concerns,” CEO John Baker said.
To provide opportunities for members of the community to attend at a time and location that suits them, the meetings are scheduled throughout the day and at Shire offices in Rosebud, Mornington and Hastings. Monthly meeting times are now published on the Shire website.
