Safety Beach: Victoria Street/Marine Parade Public Toilets

The current public toilet block on Marine Parade opposite Victoria Street are outdated and require reconstruction. The new facility will service the whole foreshore area, which includes the beach, boat ramp, playground and the nearby shopping strip. 

The existing facilities have been demolished to make way for the new amenities, which will include unisex ambulant toilets/change facility, unisex accessible toilets/change facility, and outdoor shower facilities. 

The community has been involved through a public exhibition process.

A new contractor has been selected to complete the project, and works are expected to begin in June 2022. It is anticipated that the project will be completed by end of September 2022. 

There are nearby portable toilets for the community to use and these will stay in place until the building works for the new toilets are finished.
