Stage 3 "Stay at Home" restrictions will be reinstated across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire from 11:59pm on Wednesday 8 July. This includes the Mornington Peninsula.
To assist with deterring anti-social and criminal behaviours, CCTV cameras and associated infrastructure has recently been installed within the Rye Entertainment precinct including the Rye Carnival, Rye Pier and public park areas on the foreshore.
The works are being partly funded under the Federal Government’s Safer Communities Fund.
The CCTV cameras have been installed to capture footage in known ‘hot-spots’ and infrastructure is being installed to allow the footage to transmit back to the Rosebud Police Station for monitoring. A copy of the plan showing the camera locations is available for download.
The cameras were installed prior to Easter 2018 within works being finalised at the Rosebud Police station in June 2018.
