Stage 3 "Stay at Home" restrictions will be reinstated across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire from 11:59pm on Wednesday 8 July. This includes the Mornington Peninsula.
A water storage tank (105,000 litre storage capacity) is proposed for installation within the Red Hill township. Preliminary site assessments are underway to find an appropriate location for this new firefighting water storage tank.
The new tank will consist of a Colorbond steel cylindrical tank walls and roofing with a flexible membrane liner. It will be fitted with CFA approved couplings and will be used for firefighting purposes in the Red Hill / Main Ridge area.
The tank will provide a strategic water source for the CFA.
