Stage 3 "Stay at Home" restrictions will be reinstated across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire from 11:59pm on Wednesday 8 July. This includes the Mornington Peninsula.
The Safer Residential Areas project focuses on improving road safety on local streets throughout the Shire by analysing crash statistics and speed data.
Dromana is one of three areas (Hastings & Rosebud) on the Mornington Peninsula prioritised for the local area traffic management works.
An extensive community consultation process was carried out in early 2018 to seek feedback from local stakeholders.
A tender recommendation was presented to Council on April 14 with works awarded to Maw Civil.
Construction works are progressing well with almost all treatments in Dromana already completed. The only remaining road safety treatment to be constructed is the roundabout at Pier and Gibson Street, this will be completed before Christmas 2019.
