The Mornington Peninsula Shire required a new facility to service the needs of youth in the southern region of the peninsula.

The new Youth Hub will help close the health, support and services gap for the youth of the Southern Peninsula. The works will deliver an accessible two-storey building offering a one-stop-shop for the region’s youth. Adopting the No-Wrong-Door initiative, the Youth Hub will offer a drop-in centre, classrooms, art and craft space, clinical support services, recreational spaces, holiday programs, employment and education assistance, meeting rooms, workspaces, IT hub and more.

Primary construction works are now complete with the project reaching Practical Completion in July. The project is under Defects Liability Period for 12 months, with the contractor undertaking final make-good works.

The formal opening for the youth hub was undertaken in September. It was a well-attended event with Councillors, State and Federal Ministers, user groups and local community members.
