Rosebud: Southern Peninsula Youth Hub
- Project typeBuildings
- Project value$13 Million
The Mornington Peninsula Shire requires a new youth services centre to service the needs of youth in the southern region of the Peninsula. The current facility located in Rosebud is not fit for purpose to provide the required acceptable level of youth health, support, and services.
The new Youth Hub which will be located at Olympic Park Reserve in Rosebud will provide a purpose-built facility, providing youth health, learning and additional services. Community groups such as the Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Youth Services, Headspace, YSAS, Oakwood School, Peninsula Health and The Brotherhood of St. Laurence have all committed to provide services in the new building.
A combined $5.8m has been received from the Victorian State Government and Federal Government funding grants to assist with the design and construction of this new facility.
Ground floor concrete slab works are complete. Ground floor blockwork wall installation is underway and will continue over the coming weeks. Preparation for the upper floor concrete works will commence in the next month.
The centre is expected to be opened and operational by November 2024.
