Mount Eliza: Baden Powell Drive Footpath

A footpath along Baden Powell Drive is included in the Shire’s Pedestrian Access Strategy. The purpose of this footpath is to provide a link for the residential catchment along Baden Powell Drive from Humphries Road to the Mount Eliza township.

The project is currently in the concept and planning phase and is proposed to be undertaken in two stages

Stage 1:

Concept Plans for Stage One includes includes a footpath along the northern side of Baden Powell Drive from Humphries Road to approximately 122 Baden Powell Drive.

Stage 2:

Will involve extending this path via Baden Powell Drive and Nepean Highway to the existing footpath network on Canadian Bay Road, therefore providing a link to the Mount Eliza township. 

$50,000 has been allocated for the planning and design for stages 1 and 2. A concept design for stage 1 has been prepared with detail design planned to be undertaken in the 2022/23 financial year. Construction for stage 1 and detailed design for stage 2 are planned in the financial years to follow.
