Balnarring: Balnarring Road Carpark

The Church carpark at 1 Balnarring Road has been identified for upgrades as part of the Balnarring Pedestrian and Traffic Study. It is intended to deliver complementary amenity and carparking facility improvements to the township of Balnarring.

Works planned to be undertaken include the construction of a new carpark as well as improved footpath connections from the carpark across to the Balnarring shopping precinct.

Funds have been allocated for this financial year to complete the design of the carpark. The detailed design plan has been provided to council and a final design review is in progress. Feedback has been provided to the design team which included comments from community consultation. A lighting design has been completed to ensure the carpark is illuminated to maximise user safety in the dark.

Funding for the construction phase of the project has been applied for through Council budget bids with construction to commence in future financial years.
