Stage 3 "Stay at Home" restrictions will be reinstated across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire from 11:59pm on Wednesday 8 July. This includes the Mornington Peninsula.
This project is to reconstruct the Crib Point senior football and cricket oval.
The oval reconstruction works include demolition of the existing fencing, drainage, irrigation and coaches boxes; stripping of existing grass; reshaping of the playing surfacing; upgrade of all drainage and irrigation systems; propagation of new grass; and replacement of goal posts and cricket pitch.
Construction has commenced. Demolition of the existing drainage, irrigation, fencing and coaches boxes has been completed as well as stripping of the grass and topsoil. Installation of the new drainage system is approximately 70% complete.
The contractor is ahead of schedule and is well on track to be sprigging the new grass before Christmas.
