Stage 3 "Stay at Home" restrictions will be reinstated across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire from 11:59pm on Wednesday 8 July. This includes the Mornington Peninsula.
Pedestrian and traffic improvement works are soon to commence on St Johns Wood Road, adjacent to the Point Nepean Road and the Blairgowrie Shopping Precinct.
The project is being undertaken to provide pedestrian connectivity to community facilities, support mobility access, deliver path improvements in the area and provide improved traffic management treatments.
The works will include a right turn lane into the shopping area, installation of pedestrian crossings, construction of footpath extensions, bus stop relocation and upgrades as well as improved street lighting for the new pedestrian crossings.
