Legal Advice for Community Groups
Free legal advice for community groups
Mornington Peninsula Shire has partnered with experienced law firms to facilitate pro bono (free) legal advice and guidance to community groups on the Mornington Peninsula.
The initiative aims to help community groups with legal problems and provide general information sessions on important matters such as child safety and association governance.
Each firm will provide a number of hours per year to assist community groups with legal advice.
Carroll Goldsmith Lawyers, Hill Legal, Macpherson Kelley, Marshalls + Dent + Wilmoth, McCarthy Partners and White Cleland offer skills across multiple disciplines with many years of experience advising clients in the not-for-profit sector.
The free legal advice is available to eligible Shire-based, voluntary, not-for-profit community groups.
If your community group needs assistance with legal matters send your submission directly to Mornington Peninsula Shire by emailing: email@example.com.
The Shire’s legal team will assess each request and where able to assist, coordinate contact with an appropriate firm.
