Mount Martha Skate Park

Mornington Peninsula Shire is looking to hear from residents about the future of a proposed skate park in Mount Martha.

The need for a skate facility in Mount Martha was initially identified through Council’s Skate and BMX Strategy 2008.

In 2012, Mount Martha Parade Ground was ultimately selected as the most suitable site due to its proximity to the town centre, ease of access and good passive surveillance.

Due to an existing lease at the Mount Martha Parade Ground, the project cannot proceed at the preferred site until the current lease term expires at end of 2022.

The Shire is now inviting the community to have a conversation about the future of Mount Martha Skate Park.

This is a first round consultation. Community members will have additional opportunities to provide their feedback as the project progresses.

Community consultation opens Monday 27 August 2018 and closes 5pm 28 September 2018.
