Have Your Say: Safety Beach Public Amenity
Mornington Peninsula Shire is planning to replace the existing public toilet facility at Buckley’s Rest (34A Marine Drive) in Safety Beach, which has reached the end of its useful life. Do you use the facility? We’d like to hear your feedback on how the facility is used and what features might benefit the community in future.
The new facility will be designed to ensure it is easy to maintain and to last for the next 30-40 years. The proposed project seeks to provide a functional, fit for purpose amenity for the identified users. It will need to incorporate design elements to respond to ongoing pressures of population growth and climate change. It will consider all Siting and Design Guidelines for Structures on the Victorian Coast, providing contemporary criteria and improved design guidance for coastal development.
