Have Your Say: Neighbourhood Character Study

We're inviting the community to provide input to the Mornington Peninsula Neighbourhood Character Study and Guidelines (entire municipality).

The project will guide future development across all residential areas of the municipality.

The Mornington Peninsula Neighbourhood Character Study and Guidelines seeks to determine areas where neighbourhood character values exist within the municipality and whether they require protection or enhancement.

This Study, which is underpinned by the recently adopted Housing and Settlement Strategy, will deliver on the Shire’s commitment to improve and protect the unique characteristics of the Mornington Peninsula as set out in the Council Plan 2017-21.

The aim of this Study is to establish a set of principles to guide the design of new housing in different parts of the Shire to help ensure new buildings respect our established townships, settlements and natural environment.
