Expressions of Interest - Literacy Advisory Committee
Mornington Peninsula Shire is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for community members who live on the peninsula and work or have knowledge, expertise or an interest in early years literacy development to join the Literacy Advisory Committee.
The Committee was established in 2014 to provide a way for the Shire and the local community to consult with key stakeholders, seek specialist advice on early year literacy and carry out the Shire’s Literacy Action Plan 2017-2021.
The Literacy Action Plan aims to assist in improving literacy levels in the community, through messaging the importance of oral language in early years development, through talking and sharing the love of reading.
The Literacy Advisory Committee comprises of a wide range of representatives interested in supporting improved literacy outcomes for children, including:
- Local community members.
- People with specialist knowledge in early years literacy.
