Working for Victoria – Community Engagement Ambassador
This role is a Temporary Full Time Role for 6-months, starting immediately.
Funding for the roles is through Jobs Victoria, Working for Victoria. Working for Victoria is part of the Victorian Government’s $1.7 billion Economic Survival Package announced in 2020 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
About the role
The Community Visioning project is the largest and most significant community engagement work to be undertaken by the Shire.
The purpose of the project is to collect and use community feedback to help develop a long-term vision for the Shire to ensure the right provision of services and programs.
The Community Engagement Ambassador provides a visible presence throughout the Mornington Peninsula to promote the Community Visioning and associated activities and support to community groups, residents and visitors.
This role will work 38 hours per week as rostered. Hours of work will include weekdays, weekends, evenings and/or public holidays to ensure high visibility of Community Engagement Ambassadors at times of high resident and visitor activity and during community events.
Community Engagement Ambassadors must undertake engagement activities within these areas in strict compliance with the requirements of this Position Description.
