Our Library

Relax and enjoy a wide range of services and special events at Our Library.

Our Library has over 200,000 books, talking books, eBooks, eTalking Books, large print books, DVDs, CDs and magazines to choose from.  We also provide a professional information service, computers with free internet access, a free Wi-Fi service, and access to the best online resources and homework tutoring.  A range of programs for all ages is also available - from storytimes, internet classes and information sessions to school holiday and interactive events with authors, artists, performers and other special guest presenters.

Mornington Peninsula Library Service strives to provide equal access to information, ideas and lifelong learning opportunities through a range of services and programs. It can be found in each corner of the peninsula with libraries situated at Mornington, Rosebud, Hastings and Somerville while our Mobile Library visits 16 towns each week. A Library Kiosk is also open at Sorrento Community House. Our Library gives students free access to yourtutor, Australia’s leading provider of online tutoring. All you need is your library card number and PIN.

Membership is free and open to everyone.

MOBILE LIBRARY

Our Mobile Library visits 16 towns each week and has over 2,500 of the latest books, talking books, DVDs and magazines to choose from. Check our Mobile Library Timetable for information about our weekly stops.

Our Library - much more than books!

Get the latest CDs and DVDs or revisit old favourites at Our Library.

Our Library has a wide selection of music CDs and DVDs available for loan. DVDs can be found at each of Our Libraries. Our music collections can be found at Hastings, Mornington, Rosebud and on the Mobile with Somerville soon to receive its own collection. Members can request music CDs to be collected from any of our libraries.

You can find and reserve all the titles mentioned here (and much more) on our online catalogue. You can also browse DVDs and CDs under ‘Featured Items’ below the virtual bookshelf on the catalogue home page.
