| Active Peninsula | | The Active Peninsula Strategy is a study which looks at identifying the barriers to recreation for older adults, people from culturally diverse and non-English speaking backgrounds, people with disabilities, Indigenous people and people who are not physically active.
Community surveys, plus a range of information gathered from community agencies will shaped the Active Peninsula Strategy.

| Responsible Gaming | | The Mornington Peninsula Shire Responsible Gaming Strategy focuses exclusively on gambling activities conducted with electronic gaming machines located in licensed hotels and licensed clubs (gambling venues) on the Mornington Peninsula.

The Responsible Gaming Policy aims to assist Council to make informed decisions regarding offers of sponsorship or donations from Gaming Venue Operators and Gaming Licensees (Tabcorp and Tattersalls) and that avoids perceived Council dependency on revenue from Gaming.

| Social Mapping Project Southern Peninsula | | The Department of Family and Community Services funded the social mapping report of the Southern Peninsula to undertake a social mapping profile of the area, to provide some assessment for future resource allocation to address needs or gaps in services and/or strengthen the local community.

| Health and Well Being Action Plan Review | | The Mornington Peninsula Shire is in the process of reviewing and updating its Municipal Public Health Plan – “Health, Hope and Happiness Action Plan”.
The focus of the Plan is individual and community health and well being, which is the extent to which we feel our lives are in balance and our needs are met by our society.
The purpose of the Health and Well Being Action Plan is to create, sustain and enhance healthy vibrant communities on the Mornington Peninsula Shire now and into the future. The new Plan will commence in 2010 and will operate until 2014.
You are invited to participate in developing the new Plan by completing the Health and Well Being Action Plan Community Survey 2009.
