The Shire’s Environmental Health Team promotes the good health and well being of residents through a range of public health programs. The Health Team is responsible for the prevention of infectious disease and the minimisation of public health risks throughout the Shire. This includes food safety surveillance, domestic wastewater disposal, resolution of public health nuisance complaints, and investigation of infectious disease outbreaks.
