Warringinee Group: About Us

The Warringinee Group, a local Boon Wurrung word meaning ‘home of the wombat’, is located at the Mornington Peninsula Shire Community Complex, 10A Pound Road, Hastings and adjacent to Willum Warrain Aboriginal Association Gathering Place.

The Warringinee Group is part of the Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Child Youth and Family Care Unit within the Social Planning and Community Development Team. 

The team is made up of the following members:

Erin Pennett - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Development Officer

Karan Kent - Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Access and Support Officer

Simon Greenwood - Heritage Archaeologist Field Assistant
