Plan Peninsula

Mornington Peninsula Shire conducted 15 Plan Peninsula Conversations from late June to early August in 2012 to listen to local communities talk about the things they most value about their towns – and the peninsula as a whole – and what concerns they have for the future.

Thousands of people participated in these sessions and online, and their feedback formed the basis of a Council submission to the state government.

The outcome was the Mornington Peninsula Localised Planning Statement(PDF, 1007KB) – a plan that will set the direction, extent and nature of development on the Peninsula for the next 20-30 years being prepared and referenced in State Policy for all Planning Schemes in Victoria.
