What can I learn at the Eco Living Display Centre?
Living green doesn’t mean doing without or spending lots of money. At the Eco Living Display Centre you can learn about a range of easy lifestyle changes you can make as well as modifications to improve the comfort of your home. See a variety of insulation types, double glazing, external shading, internal draught proofing, energy saving lights as well as sustainable flooring and bench-tops, a water efficient toilet, taps and shower, solar power, solar hot water and much more! In the garden you can learn a range of ways to create beautiful garden for dry conditions from planting indigenous plants to creating wicking beds and no-dig gardens.
Great Green activities
Each month between September and May, a series of sustainability workshops are held at the Eco Living Display Centre under the banner of Great Green Activities. Keep an eye out in the local papers and in the events section of our website for information on our Great Green Activities.

Friday: 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Every first Saturday of the month: 9:00am to 1:00pm
Open by arrangement at other times for group bookings.
Can I book in for a group visit?
The Eco Living Display Centre is also available for group tours outside normal visiting times. Call 1300 850 600 or 5950 1000 to arrange a tour.
What events are held at the Centre?
Sustainability workshops are regularly held at the Centre, usually on the third Saturday of the month. These workshops cover a range of topics including seed saving, fruit bottling, gardening with indigenous plants and creating wicking beds, rainwater gardens and no-dig gardens. We also run fun environmental activities for kids in the summer holidays such as Compost Capers, Gardens Alive and Mini beast Safari.

Can I hire the Centre?
The Centre is available for hire for groups and organisations for a small fee. There is a meeting room downstairs that can sit up to 30 people, data projector and a kitchen upstairs. A disabled toilet is located downstairs.
Community groups: $13.50 for full or half day.
Commercial: $50 half day, $100 full day.

How do I get there?
The Briars is in Mount Martha on the Nepean Highway between Mornington and the Moorooduc Freeway. It is approximately 10 minutes from Mornington Main Street and 15 minutes from Rosebud.
