To host a wedding ceremony on the Mornington Peninsula on public open space managed by Shire, you are required to apply for a wedding permit. To check availability, please contact the Events Team.
Fundraising permits are issued to charitable organisations, local non-profit groups and other organisations whose activities will benefit local community.
The Council has a Marquee and Soundshell which are made available to community groups in order to assist event organiser with the provision of significant infrastructure.
All events and film shoots are categorised into 3 risk components from low to high: Category 1 - Low risk events, Category 2 - Medium risk events, Category 3 - High risk events. All need permits.
Designated temporary community event signage sites exist throughout the peninsula to help you promote your upcoming event or market. There are a total of 20 signage sites and 4 banner sites available.
