Route 887 AKA Peninsula bus
PenBus AKA Route 887 (University Connector)
State government introduces express route 887 – 12 month trial
PenBus – which connects peninsula students and job seekers to tertiary education, training and employment opportunities – has been replaced with a public transport trial service known as route 887 or the University Connector. This service runs from Rosebud to Monash University Peninsula Campus, past Frankston Railway Station (and Chisholm TAFE Frankston), stopping at Dromana, Safety Beach, Mt Martha, Mornington and Mt Eliza in between.
This trial service will run Monday to Friday during the two Monash University semesters. Therefore, the bus won't be running from 25th June to 24th July, when the university has its semester break. The bus will operate again starting the 25th July for Semester two and operate until the end of the academic year which finishes on the 18th November 2016.
The service is open for travel by all residents, not just students. A valid MYKI ticket is required.
Current timetable can be found on the Public Transport Victoria Journey Planner website: http://ptv.vic.gov.au/route/view/10961
